The same yarn has three names
The same yarn is worsted in the United States, aran in Britain, and 10-ply in Australia. Needle sizing is worse still. UK sizes count downward, so UK 8 and US 6 are the same 4mm needle.
Set your region once and the whole app follows. Nothing is re-entered, and nothing is converted destructively.

Built to work for everyone
Crafting is for everybody, and so is the app. Accessibility is part of how YarnHub is built rather than something bolted on at the end.
- Readable by default
- Generous text sizes and colour contrast that meets WCAG AA, in both light and dark. No squinting at 11px grey on grey.
- Works how you work
- Full keyboard and screen reader support, generous tap targets, and respect for your system settings for text size and motion.
- Colour is never the only clue
- Anything shown with colour is also shown with a label or a shape, so nothing depends on telling two hues apart.
- Steady on a moving train
- Motion is used to explain what changed, never for decoration, and it stops entirely when you ask your device to reduce it.
Shaped by the people who use it
Nearly everything here started as somebody describing a small, specific annoyance. Dye lots got their own field because losing track of one ruins a jumper. The row counter lives inside the project because a shared counter gets reset by accident.
